5 Master Bathroom Renovation Ideas for 2022

According to Statista, in 2020, 33% of homeowners resolved to upgrade their bathroom because they were fed up with the out-of-fashion appearance. Considering the bathroom is where you freshen up, it should be appealing and relaxing. Perhaps you, too, are tired of the appearance of your bathroom and are considering a renovation. Here are some trending master bathroom renovation ideas to consider implementing with the help of reputable bathroom remodeling contractors.

1. Replacing Shower Speakers

One thing that can give your master bathroom a modern appeal is installing sleek in-ceiling shower speakers over the traditional suction-cup shower speakers. These sleek in-ceiling shower speakers readily connect to voice assistants like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. This means you will enjoy the convenience of hearing your favorite music hands-free. You just say the song title, and music fills your space.

2. Incorporating a Heated Towel Rack

Another great way bathroom remodeling contractors can upgrade your master bathroom is by introducing a heated towel rack. The heated towel rack is essential because it makes it easy to dry towels. You can enjoy the warmth of a heated towel after a cool shower!

3. Adding Floating Shelves

If your master bathroom lacks enough storage space, adding floating shelves is the best way to solve this problem. They have the significant benefit of eliminating the need for huge cabinets, which goes a long way to creating the illusion of a spacious bathroom.

4. Updating Master Bathroom Mirrors

Adding large mirrors to a master bathroom can have many benefits. For example, they can make a small space seem larger. In addition, they’re also great for creating the illusion of light in darker spaces, which is helpful if you need more natural light but cannot get it into your bathroom.

5. Changing the Lighting Options

Another great master bathroom renovation idea is to supplant lighting. There are a few options to consider, from adding overhead lights to installing recessed lighting to putting in a chandelier. All these styles give off a different type of light and feel, which will change the atmosphere of your bathroom.

These are some of the best ways to renovate your master bathroom in 2022. Don’t continue using the same old-looking bathroom you’ve used for years – call our bathroom remodeling contractors in New Jersey today! We will work magic to give your master bathroom the look you’ve been yearning for.

Bathroom Remodel Elevates Century-Old Home

This 112-year-old home in Lawrenceville, NJ was in great condition for its age when our client purchased it, but she wanted to implement some changes to really make the space her own—and one of the first projects on her list was a bathroom renovation.

Re-Doing an Old Remodel

The previous homeowners had done some awkward remodeling in the space that definitely needed to be changed. Apart from the cosmetic updates (new tile, new cabinets, built-in shower seating and more), there were also issues behind the walls that needed correction.

Our to-do list included:

·       Gutting the space

·       Adding a bench seat to the shower

·       Putting in new drywall

·       Replacing the electrical components, including a new exhaust fan

·       Installing new: shower tile, bathtub, cabinets, accessories, and flooring

·       Finishing off the space with fresh paint and trim

Our lead designer, Bernadette, worked with the client to create a traditional yet modern look that fit the architecture of the house perfectly. Together, they chose a clean 4×10-inch white subway tile for the shower, a gorgeous quartz countertop and matching bench seat, faucets and a shower valve by Hansgrohe, and a one-piece toilet by Toto. The 24×24-inch floor tiles help the bathroom feel even bigger.

Adding the Final Touches

The client also asked that our team update a closet in the primary bedroom and remodel a powder room as well.

Bernadette and the client had a lot of fun with the powder room renovation. Although it’s a small space, we were able to make a big statement with a beautiful black-and-white patterned floor tile and a sleek, compact sink.

In the end, the client was happy with the finished results!

How You Can Remodel Your Basement for the Whole Family to Enjoy

Many homeowners have dreams of creating a luxurious home in their basement. Depending on where you live, your basement remodeling project may earn an ROI of 70%, so why not plan a project that not only your whole family will enjoy, but one that’ll get you a great return? Here are tips and ideas to incorporate in your basement remodel with the help of a design build firm in New Jersey.

Plan Your Basement Remodel

When embarking on a basement remodeling project, consider how each element will affect the look of your basement. Be sure to take the time to think about what will be best for your needs. It would also help to determine how to make it a more pleasant place to spend time at home with your family. When you look ahead with a clear mind and with help from a design build firm, making those decisions will be simple and easy.

Add More Light in the Space

An essential tip on basement remodeling is to design around natural light. If the basement is very dark, you should focus on lighting first. Adding a few gorgeous lighting fixtures throughout your basement can make it look brighter and aesthetically pleasing.

You can even install lighting on the stairway leading down to your basement. Correctly placing a few lights will create a dramatic change in mood. The basement remodeling project allows you to see every step of the way. Adding ample lighting throughout the area also makes your home feel spacious and comfortable.

Install New Floors

Your basement may have a concrete floor, which is cold and not aesthetically pleasing. When working with a design build firm in New Jersey, you should look at all of your flooring options. From hardwood flooring to vinyl tiles to carpeting, you can choose what’s best for your wants and needs. The type of flooring you choose may depend on what you would like to use your basement as, so this is an important decision to make.

Basements offer extra living space and allow you to use every square inch as storage, so planning a basement remodeling project can add comfort and improve aesthetics. With simple tips and tricks, you can design and work on personalizing your home. For help with your basement remodeling project in New Jersey, do not hesitate to contact us through our website.

What a Master Bathroom Renovation Can Do For Your Home’s Value

According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), bathrooms rank second in the rooms most Americans wish to remodel. The kitchen ranks first. In terms of return on investment, they also rank as some of the best remodeling projects you can do for your home because the appearance of either of the two is critical to selling a house. According to Zillow, a midrange bathroom remodel has a national ROI of 70.1%, while an upscale bathroom remodel has an ROI of 56.2%.

Best Bathroom Projects for the Highest ROI

Addressing Basic Maintenance and Repair Needs

Most importantly, be sure to fix any issues with your bathroom. Failing an inspection report due to a bad paint job, peeling caulk, cracked tiles, dirty grout, etc., will not look good to a buyer.

Your remodel should also keep the design neutral to appeal to as many prospective buyers as possible. A design-build remodeling company can help with the look and feel of your bathroom from the design to the construction phase.

Retiling

This is one of the more expensive bathroom renovation projects and one of the most impactful. Outdated, peeling, or substandard tiling will not do your bathroom any favors. Investing your money in newer and more suitable tiles is wise. For a more luxurious and upmarket feel, consider investing in heated flooring.

Updating Fixtures and Vanity

Remodeling the vanity set should include the faucet, storage, countertops, and sink. Consider that many prospective homeowners want a comfortable height vanity with granite countertops when doing your remodel. Another fixture consideration is the shower. It is used every day and will make a big difference to one’s bathroom experience, so adding a steam shower won’t go unnoticed.

The lighting is also important. Poor outdated lighting can make a bathroom or any room, for that matter, look drab. Good lighting can make your bathroom pop and accentuate its best features. It might be difficult to make the right design choices but hiring a reputable bathroom remodeling company will help you make the right aesthetic choices.

A design-build remodeling company can be very helpful when renovating your bathroom. They can advise you on the best areas to renovate for maximum ROI. Contact our bathroom remodeling company to get started today!
